As a Data Analyst (Revenue), at 7shifts, reporting into the Manager of Data & Analytics, you’ll serve as the go-to data guru for various teams within the Business Operations department, guiding them to track metrics, uncover insights, and seize opportunities that steer our team’s journey and drive value for the company. Your knowledge will be pivotal for teams like Marketing and Partnerships, among others, enriching their endeavors with best practices, actionable insights, KPI metrics, captivating visualizations, in-depth research, and your invaluable expertise. Plus, you’ll have the full support of the rest of the data team, including fellow analysts, leaders, and our ingenious data engineering crew.

What you’ll do:

Serve as the primary data expert within your domain, offering valuable guidance to internal stakeholders on interpreting and applying analytical findings to inform strategic initiatives and operational improvements
Take ownership of comprehensive data analyses, liaising with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutions, encompassing reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses
Proactively engage with internal teams to gather feedback on data analysis processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring relevance to business needs
Oversee the execution of data analysis tasks within your domain, encompassing data transformation, in-depth analysis, and dynamic visualization techniques
Collaborate with our Data Developers to enhance and optimize our ETL/ELT pipeline, ensuring seamless data flow and integration

What you bring:

2+ years of experience in data or BI analysis, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving impactful outcomes
Proficient in advanced SQL techniques, demonstrating a deep understanding of database querying and manipulation to extract meaningful insights
A quantitative background coupled with robust analytical capabilities, enabling the adept interpretation and synthesis of complex datasets
Proficiency in developing comprehensive dashboards utilizing preferred BI tools, (Tableau, Looker, Thoughtspot) – you can transform raw data into actionable insights
Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex problems – you can articulate intricate concepts in a clear and concise manner, fostering understanding and collaboration across diverse stakeholders
Strategic business acumen, adept at steering non-technical teams towards embracing a data-driven culture

It’d be even cooler if you had:

Experience working with Salesforce data
Experience with analytics databases (Snowflake preferred)
Experience with other data tools such as ETL systems, DBT, column stores, or non-relational databases
